The US Postal Service issued a set of three stamps in 1973-1974 commemorating Rural America. Specifically, the three stamps honored the centenary of three events: the introduction of Aberdeen Angus cattle into the US, the Chautauqua Institution social movement, and the introduction of hard winter wheat into Kansas by Mennonite immigrants. Together, this set celebrates three landmark events in the history of rural America. These stamps are available as a set of the three designs in margin blocks of 20, larger blocks of 30 (for some designs), or full sheets of 50 (for some designs).

You will receive a set of three 20-stamp blocks of these vintage 10-cent stamps, all of which can still be used to pay postage on current mail (using additional postage as needed to make up the current first-class rate). All are mint with full gum on reverse; however, due to the age of the stamps, we recommend use of a damp sponge instead of licking the back, or we might recommend using a dab of a permanent glue stick before mailing.
