The US Postal Service issued this Delaware commemorative in 1987 as part of a series honoring the bicentennial of the ratification of the constitution. Delaware was the first state to ratify the document, on 7 December 1787. Show your knowledge of US history on your outgoing mail; keep one for yourself, and send the rest to your friends!

Interested in more state-related or American history stamps to pair with this one for postage? Check out our other vintage stamp listings, all of which can still be used to pay postage on current mail (using additional postage as needed to make up the current first-class rate). All are mint with full gum on reverse; however, due to the age of the stamps, we recommend use of a damp sponge instead of licking the back, or we might recommend using a dab of a permanent glue stick before mailing.

Shipping Info: We ship our stamps, stickers, and other flat items in a sturdy, flat mailer with tracking for the best protection. Because the post office considers this a “package” and not a flexible envelope, the cost of shipping is subject to package prices. This is the best way to protect your purchase.

T-shirts are shipped in poly mailers.
