Face Value 20 Cents | 1982 | Scott 1953-2002/1953A-2002A

The collector will note that this sheet exists in two perforation varieties, Scott 1953-2002 (#2002b) which is perforated 10.5x11.25 and Scott 1953A-2002A (#2002Ac) which is perforated 11.25 x 11. The designs are identical. Buyers should also note that these stamps were printed with "dry gum" and that it will appear that the stamps are not gummed at all. This is normal for this very dry gum which was used for this stamp.

These fauna and flora vintage stamps will be the perfect accompaniment to your outgoing letters. Issued in 1982, these stamps depict the state bird and flower from each of the 50 United States. You will receive the entire sheet of 50 stamps, each of the different designs issued in the series, and these stamps can be used to pay postage on current mail (using additional postage as needed to make up the current first-class rate). Add a touch of nature to your outgoing mail! (Fun fact: which state was the last to designate a state bird? Arizona, in 1973) These stamps are unused with full gum on reverse; however, due to the age of the stamps, we might recommend using a dab of a glue stick before mailing.
