Face Value 10 Cents | 1975 | Scott 1556
Space. The final frontier. Launched in 1972, Pioneer 10 was a NASA space probe that made the first visit to the planet Jupiter. Afterward, Pioneer 10 became the first spacecraft to leave our solar system, and amazingly, communication with the probe continued until 2003. This stamp was issued in 1975.

These stamps can still be used to pay postage on current mail (using additional postage as needed to make up the current first-class rate). All are unused with full gum on reverse; however, due to the age of the stamps, we recommend use of a damp sponge instead of licking the back, or we might recommend using a dab of a permanent glue stick before mailing.
