It might be…..it could be……it is! These vintage stamps from the American sports series honor 17-season New York Yankee Lou Gehrig. This sheet of 50 or block of 20 postage stamps shows Gehrig probably hitting one of his almost 500 home runs. Issued in Cooperstown, New York (home of the National Baseball Hall of Fame), in 1989, these stamps still have a postage value of 25 cents and can be used to pay postage on current mail (using additional postage to make up the appropriate rate). You will knock one out of the park using these stamps on your mail! These stamps are unused with full gum on reverse; however, due to the age of the stamps, we might recommend using a dab of a glue stick before mailing.
