Space. The final frontier. Launched in 1973, Mariner 10 was the last craft in the NASA Mariner series, designed to pass near the planets Mercury and Venus, the first craft designed to fly by two planets. Mariner 10 cruised by Venus on 5 February 1974, and passed its closest to Mercury on 16 March 1975. This stamp was issued in 1975. Interested in space stamps? Check out our other vintage space stamp listings. A number of stamps were issued by the US Postal Service in the 1970s to commemorate space-related events. With these stamps, your letters will be out of this world!

Interested in more related stamps to pair with these for postage? Check out our other vintage stamp listings. These stamps can still be used to pay postage on current mail (using additional postage as needed to make up the current first-class rate). All are unused with full gum on reverse; however, due to the age of the stamps, we recommend use of a damp sponge instead of licking the back, or we might recommend using a dab of a permanent glue stick before mailing.

Shipping Info: We ship our stamps, stickers, and other flat items in a sturdy, flat mailer with tracking for the best protection. Because the post office considers this a “package” and not a flexible envelope, the cost of shipping is subject to package prices. This is the best way to protect your purchase.

T-shirts are shipped in poly mailers.
