Face Value 20 Cents | 1983 | Scott 2039

Celebrating volunteerism, this postage stamp was issued by the US Postal Service in 1983. Featuring an outstretched pair of hands, this stamp reminds us to get involved in and support our communities by helping those in need. Remind the recipients of your letters that they can make a difference. Interested in more social causes stamps to pair with these for postage? Check out our other vintage stamp listings.

These stamps can still be used to pay postage on current mail (using additional postage as needed to make up the current first-class rate). All are mint with full gum on reverse; however, due to the age of the stamps, we recommend use of a damp sponge instead of licking the back, or we might recommend using a dab of a permanent glue stick before mailing.

Shipping Info: We ship our stamps, stickers, and other flat items in a sturdy, flat mailer with tracking for the best protection. Because the post office considers this a “package” and not a flexible envelope, the cost of shipping is subject to package prices. This is the best way to protect your purchase.

T-shirts are shipped in poly mailers.
