Face Value 6 Cents | 1968 | Scott 1339

The US Postal Service commemorated 150 years of Illinois statehood with this large block of the 1968 stamp issued in Shawneetown (the site of the first bank chartered in Illinois, 1816). Featuring a grain field in front of a farm, this vintage 6-cent stamp can still be used to pay postage on current mail (using additional postage as needed to make up the current first-class rate). Visit the Land of Lincoln today! These stamps are unused with full gum on reverse; however, due to the age of the stamps, we recommend use of a damp sponge instead of licking the back, or we might recommend using a dab of a permanent glue stick before mailing.

Shipping Info: We ship our stamps, stickers, and other flat items in a sturdy, flat mailer with tracking for the best protection. Because the post office considers this a “package” and not a flexible envelope, the cost of shipping is subject to package prices. This is the best way to protect your purchase.

T-shirts are shipped in poly mailers.
