Scott catalogue #2870, full pane of US postage stamps. Issued in early summer, 1994, these sheets were recalled because Bill Pickett's descendants claimed that the person shown was not Bill Pickett, but rather Bill's cousin (see closeup image). After printing new sheets, the US Postal Service used a lottery system to distribute 150,000 of these sheets, thus accounting for their rarity. Sheets were delivered in sealed, blue window envelopes, which were difficult to mount in albums, so many were removed. Interested in more related stamps to pair with these for postage? Shipping Info: We ship our stamps, stickers, and other flat items in a sturdy, flat mailer with tracking for the best protection. Because the post office considers this a “package” and not a flexible envelope, the cost of shipping is subject to package prices. This is the best way to protect your purchase.

T-shirts are shipped in poly mailers.
