Face Value 20 Cents | 1983 | Scott 2059-2062

Clang, clang, clang went the trolley! These four designs showcase classic streetcars, from the first American streetcar in New York circa 1830, to an early electric car in Montgomery, Alabama around 1886, to the “Bobtail” horsecar in Sulphur Rock, Arkansas, in the early 1920s, to the classic green St. Charles streetcar in New Orleans (which you can ride today and see all the Mardi Gras beads hanging in the trees). Make your loved one’s bell go “ding, ding, ding” when they open your mail.

Interested in more art or culture stamps to pair with these for postage? Check out our other vintage stamp listings, all of which can still be used to pay postage on current mail (using additional postage as needed to make up the current first-class rate). All are mint with full gum on reverse; however, due to the age of the stamps, we recommend use of a damp sponge instead of licking the back, or we might recommend using a dab of a permanent glue stick before mailing.

Shipping Info: We ship our stamps, stickers, and other flat items in a sturdy, flat mailer with tracking for the best protection. Because the post office considers this a “package” and not a flexible envelope, the cost of shipping is subject to package prices. This is the best way to protect your purchase.

T-shirts are shipped in poly mailers.
